Fixtures

Manage fixtures in your current project

Fixtures

The Fixtures panel shows all fixtures in your current project and provides tools for managing them.

Fixture list

Display

Fixtures are listed in a table with:

  • Name - Fixture identifier (with unicast IP indicator if configured)
  • Uni - Universe number (starts at 1)
  • Adr - Start address (1-based)

The last column holds row-action buttons (edit and delete).

Sorting

Fixtures are sorted by universe first, then by address within each universe. Click column headers to change sort order.

Filtering

Use the search box in the toolbar to filter fixtures by name.

Adding fixtures

Add fixture dialog

  1. Click the Add fixture button in the toolbar.
  2. Click Select fixture… to open the Add fixture picker. Browse by manufacturer or use the search box, pick a fixture, choose its DMX mode, then click Continue to addressing.
  3. The Add fixture form is two columns: the form on the left, an Address space grid on the right that shows existing fixtures and the proposed placement.
  4. Set the quantity and name, then type the universe and address, click Calculate universes/addresses to auto-fill the next free address, or click a cell in the grid to set the start (hover to preview).
  5. Click Patch N fixtures to add them.

To browse or import fixture definitions, use the Library Manager at Project > Library Manager.

Selecting fixtures

Use the row checkboxes to select fixtures. Only fixtures not currently used in mappings can be selected for bulk operations.

Editing fixtures

Edit dialog

  1. Click the pencil icon on the fixture row, or right-click and select Edit.
  2. Change the name, universe, address, mode, and target IP in the popout.
  3. Click Save changes to apply.

Context menu

Right-click a fixture row for options:

  • Edit - Open the edit dialog
  • Delete - Remove from project (disabled if fixture is used in mappings)
  • Add fixture - Open the add fixture dialog

Multi-selection

Select multiple fixtures using checkboxes. With multiple fixtures selected, a Delete button appears in the toolbar to remove all selected fixtures (only fixtures not used in mappings can be deleted).

Sharing the patch

The toolbar offers Print as PDF to save a patch sheet locally, and Create shareable link to publish one to a public URL (the action becomes Update shared link once a link exists, with Stop sharing to remove it). See Share a Patch.

Status indicators

  • Blue network icon - Fixture has a unicast target IP configured
  • Red network icon - Network mode is unicast but no target IP is configured (data will not be sent)
  • Shield icon - Fixture is used in mappings and cannot be deleted
