Standards & interop

Speaks every standard on your network.

Art-Net and sACN in and out, in any mix, with multiple outputs per protocol. MIDI in and out. NDI and audio in. RDM discovery and configuration over Art-Net. Spectralite fits the rig you already run.

Signal flow diagram. Three input groups feed the Spectralite core. External control groups Art-Net, sACN, and MIDI and runs two-way. NDI video groups cameras, Resolume, and TouchDesigner as inputs. Audio groups a microphone, mixing console, and DAW as inputs. Spectralite feeds two output groups: Art-Net, running two-way to nodes, fixtures, lighting desks, and RDM; and sACN, running out to nodes, fixtures, and lighting desks.

What goes in, what comes out.

RDM travels over Art-Net only. Run an Art-Net output alongside sACN and both share the rig at the same time.
StandardInOutNotes
Art-NetYesYesDMX over UDP on port 6454. Output as broadcast or per-fixture unicast, with ArtSync. Discovers third-party nodes with ArtPoll and is itself discoverable.
sACN (E1.31)YesYesDMX over multicast UDP on port 5568. Per-universe priority, sync universe, and universe discovery.
DMXVia Art-Net / sACNVia Art-Net / sACNPatch by universe and address; DMX is carried over the network, not USB or serial. 512 channels per universe.
MIDIYesYesMapped control in from any class-compliant controller. Feedback out drives motor faders and pad LEDs. Ships device profiles for Novation Launchpad and Launchpad Mini MK3, Allen & Heath Xone:K2, and Launch Control XL3.
NDIYesNoVideo frames feed effect nodes. Input only.
RDM (E1.20)YesYesDiscovery, DMX personality, start address, sensors, identify, and GET/SET, all over Art-Net. Pair an Art-Net output alongside sACN when your show streams over sACN.
Audio / beatYesNoAutomatic beat detection and spectrum-reactive effect nodes. Input only.
Output flexibility

Run any mix of outputs.

Run Art-Net only, sACN only, or both at once, with multiple outputs per protocol and each output on its own settings. Drive mixed gear side by side, or run a primary and a backup path, without duplicating your show.

Preview of the Outputs dialog. A list shows two enabled outputs, one Art-Net and one sACN, each with its enable switch on, plus toolbar buttons to add an Art-Net or sACN output. The editor pane for the selected Art-Net output shows its name, protocol, a universe range filter limiting it to universes 1 to 8, network mode broadcast, and ArtSync frames enabled.

Control in

Drive Spectralite from the desk you already have.

Map an incoming MIDI controller to layers, bumps, tempo, color, and fixture parameters, with feedback driving pad LEDs and motor faders. Or send Art-Net or sACN into Spectralite and run the pixel rig from the console you already own: its channels map straight to layers, bumps, tempo, and parameters, so the operator keeps one desk for the whole show.

Discovery

Discovers the network, not just the fixtures.

Spectralite finds third-party Art-Net nodes with ArtPoll and announces itself to the ones already there. Enable node discovery and the RDM panel can reach every responder behind those nodes, on whatever universe it sits.
