About

Born on the dancefloor. Engineered like a console.

Spectralite is professional lighting-control software with a point of view. It came from the clubs and festivals of the electronic-music world, and it was built to the standards a touring rig demands.

Where it came from

Spectralite started where a lot of good tools start: with a room, a rig, and a problem the existing software would not solve. The electronic-music scene runs dense pixel rigs, fast, on tight budgets, in dark rooms, and locked to the music. The lighting software built for that world was either a toy or a console priced like a car. So we built the tool we wanted to run.

What we decided to be serious about

Culture is the personality, not the ceiling. Under it, Spectralite is real lighting software: native GDTF, more than 3,600 fixtures, moving heads controlled by real parameters, and Art-Net, sACN, MIDI, NDI, and RDM on the network. GPU rendering pushes tens of thousands of pixels in real time, and a purpose-built engine is the single source of truth for the whole show, not an afterthought behind the UI.

How we sell it

We publish our prices on the page. You buy Spectralite once and own it forever, every feature is in every tier, and the free tier outputs real DMX with no dongle. No quote, no sales call, no lock-in. That is a deliberate stance against an industry that trains buyers to expect opacity, and it is not going to change.

Who builds it

Spectralite is built by De Koole Centrale in Groningen, the Netherlands, and has been in development since 2022. It runs at electronic-music festivals and clubs across the country, and it grows by absorbing what those rooms teach: feedback, feature requests, and fixes from the industry professionals who operate it. If you run Spectralite in a venue or on a tour, we want to hear how it holds up.

Professional lighting control that speaks every standard, runs on your Mac, and costs what it says on the page.

No dongle. No quote. No lock-in.
