Share Effects with the Community

Spectralite features a built-in community platform where users can share fixture definitions and effects.

Accessing community resources

From the desktop application

1. Open the Library Manager (Project > Library Manager).
2. Select the Community tab.
3. Toggle between Fixtures and Effects.
4. Browse, search, and download resources.

From the website

1. Visit spectralite.studio/resources.
2. Browse fixtures and effects.
3. Download resources to import into Spectralite.

Browsing resources

Search and filter

Use the search bar to find resources by name. Results update as you type.

Sorting options

Resources can be sorted by:

• Newest: most recently uploaded.
• Popular: most downloaded.
• Staff Picks: curated by the Spectralite team.

1. Find a resource you want.
2. Click the Download button.
3. The resource is automatically imported.

Website

1. Click Download on any resource.
2. Save the file to your computer.
3. Import via Library Manager.

Uploading resources

Share your creations with the community.

Requirements

• You must be logged in.
• Resources must be valid Spectralite files.
• Uploads are reviewed before becoming public.

Upload process

1. Open the Library Manager Community tab.
2. Click the Upload button.
3. Select the resource type (Fixture or Effect).
4. Choose your file.
5. Enter a name and description.
6. Click Upload.

After upload

1. Your resource enters a moderation queue.
2. The team reviews it for quality.
3. Once approved, it becomes publicly visible.
4. Track status in your Dashboard.

Upload guidelines

• Use descriptive names. Include manufacturer and model for fixtures.
• Add a description that explains what the resource does.
• Test the resource before uploading.
• Only upload resources you created.

Managing your uploads

View and manage your uploads from the website:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Go to Dashboard > My Resources.
3. See status: Pending, Approved, or Rejected.
