Local vs cloud

Local library

Your personal library is stored on your computer:

  • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/spectralite/

Assets in your library are available across all your projects.

Community cloud

The community platform provides:

  • Fixture sharing: download definitions for thousands of fixtures.
  • Effect sharing: discover creative effects from other users.
  • Quality curation: staff picks highlight the best resources.

Quick start

Getting fixtures

  1. Open Project > Library Manager.
  2. Go to the Fixtures tab.
  3. Click + on any fixture to add it to your project.
  4. For more fixtures, check the Community tab.

Saving your work

  1. Create an effect in the Node Editor.
  2. Open the Library Manager Effects tab.
  3. Click Save Current Effect.
  4. Choose to save to Library (global) or Project (local).

Sharing resources

  1. Sign up at spectralite.studio.
  2. Open the Library Manager Community tab.
  3. Click Upload and select your file.
  4. Resources are reviewed before publishing.
