Color palette and gradient controls
Color
The Color panel provides three gradient pickers for the project's preset colors: primary, secondary, and tertiary. These preset colors are available to effect nodes and can be controlled via MIDI.
Layout
The panel displays three columns side by side, one for each preset color. Each column contains:
- Color library swatches - A grid of colors from the active color library at the top
- Gradient picker - A full gradient editor below
Color library swatches
Above each gradient picker is a grid of color swatches from the active color library. Click any swatch to apply that color's gradient stops to the corresponding preset color (primary, secondary, or tertiary).
Managing color libraries
Click the Open Library button in the toolbar to open the Color Libraries dialog, where you can:
- Browse available color libraries and import colors into your project
- Add or remove colors from the shortcuts (active swatches)
- Create, edit, copy, and delete colors
Gradient picker
Each preset color is defined as a gradient with multiple color stops:
- Right-click the gradient bar and choose Add stop here to insert a stop at the cursor position
- Drag stops to reposition them
- Click a stop to edit its color
- Right-click a stop and choose Delete stop to remove it
The gradient is used by effect nodes that reference the primary, secondary, or tertiary preset color.
Using preset colors
Preset colors are referenced by effect nodes throughout your project. When you change a preset color in this panel, all effects using that color update immediately. This makes it easy to change the color scheme of your entire show from one place.
MIDI control
Preset colors can be controlled via MIDI mappings defined in the MIDI Input dialog:
- Set or adjust the hue of primary, secondary, or tertiary colors
- Select colors from the active library or full color library via MIDI
