Manage every position mapping in the project

Mappings

The Mappings panel lists every position mapping in the project and lets you create, rename, duplicate, and delete them.

Toolbar

  • Add mapping - Create a new position mapping

Mapping list

Each mapping shows its name along with action buttons:

  • Rename (pencil icon) - Open a dialog to rename the mapping
  • Set as default (eye icon) - Mark the mapping as the default for the project
  • Copy (copy icon) - Duplicate the mapping with a "copy" suffix
  • Delete (trash icon) - Remove the mapping (disabled if the mapping is used by timeline layers)

Click a mapping name to select it and open it in the Position Map Editor.

Creating mappings

  1. Click the Add mapping button in the toolbar.
  2. Enter a name for the new mapping.
  3. Click Add mapping to create it.

The new mapping opens automatically in the Position Map Editor.

Duplicating mappings

Click the copy icon on any mapping to create a duplicate. The copy includes all fixture positions from the original.

Deleting mappings

Click the delete icon to remove a mapping. Deletion is blocked (indicated by a shield icon) if the mapping is currently assigned to any timeline layers. Unassign the mapping from all layers before deleting.

  • Delete mapping - Remove the mapping (if not used by layers)
