Notch to Lights
Add an NDI Output node to a Notch block and drive lighting fixtures in Spectralite from real-time Notch content.
Notch content usually ends up on an LED wall through a media server. The fixtures around that wall are normally programmed by hand, on a desk, against a video the desk cannot see. An NDI output from Notch closes that gap: Spectralite reads the render and the surrounding rig picks up its color and movement.
Add an NDI Output node
In Notch Builder, add an NDI Output node, found in the Post-FX section under Image Processing. Attach it to the video or scene render you want to publish, and that render goes out over NDI.
A single Notch layer can drive several NDI outputs at once, so a lighting feed does not have to displace anything you already send. Notch documents the node and the protocol in its NDI reference.
Pick up the stream in Spectralite
Open Edit > Inputs > NDI and enable NDI input enabled and Auto-discover sources.
Put the video on your fixtures
Add a Timeline layer using the built-in NDI Input effect for an immediate result, or wire an NDI Input node into an effect in the Node Editor.
Building a feed for the lights
Attaching the NDI Output node to your main render works, but it wastes resolution on detail no fixture will ever resolve. A better arrangement is a second, small render path inside the same project: a low resolution version of the look, or a deliberately simplified one that holds the palette and the motion without the fine texture. Publish that, and the rig follows the piece while the wall keeps the full render.
This also keeps the lighting feed stable when the main render changes. Reframing the wall content does not move the colors your fixtures are reading.
