Connect Your Software
Step by step guides for sending video from Resolume, TouchDesigner, VDMX, OBS, MadMapper, Notch, Millumin, Isadora, and vMix into Spectralite over NDI.
If your visuals already run in another application, Spectralite can read them over NDI and turn them into light. Each guide below covers one application: where its NDI output lives, what the settings mean, and how to point it at your rig.
The Spectralite half of the job is the same every time and is documented once on Receive video from another app. These pages cover the half that differs.
Resolume to Lights
Arena and Avenue, straight from the Output menu
TouchDesigner to Lights
Send any operator chain through an NDI Out TOP
VDMX to Lights
Publish a VDMX layer with the NDI Output plugin
OBS to Lights
Broadcast the OBS program feed using DistroAV
MadMapper to Lights
Publish a mapped projector to the network
Notch to Lights
Add an NDI Output node to a Notch block
Millumin to Lights
Add an NDI output to a Millumin canvas
Isadora to Lights
Stream a Stage or Virtual Stage over NDI
vMix to Lights
Enable NDI on a vMix output or input
If your application is not listed
NDI is a standard, so anything that publishes an NDI stream works. Find the NDI output in your application, give the stream a name, and follow Receive video from another app from there. The steps on this side never change.
