Using Spectralite Node
Universe Assignment
Each port can output different universes:
- Select the Node in Discovered Clients
- Click Configure
- Assign universes to each port
- Apply changes
RDM Features
With RDM-capable fixtures:
- Enable RDM on the port
- Click Discover RDM Devices
- Configure fixtures remotely
- Change addresses without physical access
Redundancy
For critical shows:
- Configure two Nodes identically
- Connect both to the same fixtures (via splitter)
- If one fails, the other continues
Using Holodron
Panel Configuration
Set up your panel array:
- Note physical arrangement
- In Spectralite, create a pixel map
- Set dimensions to match your array
- Configure snake or sequential addressing
Creating Content
Design effects for Holodron:
- Create effects in the Node Editor
- Use UV coordinates for position
- Apply spatial effects (gradients, shapes)
- Preview in the Pixel Map panel
Performance Mode
For live use:
- Create multiple effect layers
- Map to MIDI for triggering
- Use beat sync for music response
- Adjust in real-time
Using Spectratube
As Individual Fixtures
Control each tube as an RGB fixture:
- Add Spectratube fixture from library
- Patch to DMX address
- Control like any RGB fixture
As Pixel Map
For per-pixel control:
- Create a pixel map
- Set width to pixels per tube
- Set height to number of tubes
- Configure snake addressing if daisy-chained
Troubleshooting
Device Not Appearing
- Check power connection
- Verify network connection
- Confirm same subnet as Mac
- Check firewall settings
- Try manual IP entry
No Output
- Verify universe configuration
- Check Art-Net settings
- Confirm fixture addresses
- Test with built-in test mode
Intermittent Issues
- Check power supply capacity
- Verify network cable quality
- Check for IP conflicts
- Monitor for overheating
