  3. Open Discovered Clients in Spectralite
  4. Device appears automatically

Manual IP Configuration

If auto-discovery fails:

  1. Connect directly to device via Ethernet
  2. Access web interface at 192.168.1.1
  3. Set IP address for your network
  4. Reconnect to main network

Firmware Updates

Keep devices updated:

  1. Check for updates in Spectralite
  2. Or visit the device's web interface
  3. Download and apply updates
  4. Device reboots automatically

Using Spectralite Node

Universe Assignment

Each port can output different universes:

  1. Select the Node in Discovered Clients
  2. Click Configure
  3. Assign universes to each port
  4. Apply changes

RDM Features

With RDM-capable fixtures:

  1. Enable RDM on the port
  2. Click Discover RDM Devices
  3. Configure fixtures remotely
  4. Change addresses without physical access

Redundancy

For critical shows:

  1. Configure two Nodes identically
  2. Connect both to the same fixtures (via splitter)
  3. If one fails, the other continues

Using Holodron

Panel Configuration

Set up your panel array:

  1. Note physical arrangement
  2. In Spectralite, create a pixel map
  3. Set dimensions to match your array
  4. Configure snake or sequential addressing

Creating Content

Design effects for Holodron:

  1. Create effects in the Node Editor
  2. Use UV coordinates for position
  3. Apply spatial effects (gradients, shapes)
  4. Preview in the Pixel Map panel

Performance Mode

For live use:

  1. Create multiple effect layers
  2. Map to MIDI for triggering
  3. Use beat sync for music response
  4. Adjust in real-time

Using Spectratube

As Individual Fixtures

Control each tube as an RGB fixture:

  1. Add Spectratube fixture from library
  2. Patch to DMX address
  3. Control like any RGB fixture

As Pixel Map

For per-pixel control:

  1. Create a pixel map
  2. Set width to pixels per tube
  3. Set height to number of tubes
  4. Configure snake addressing if daisy-chained

Troubleshooting

Device Not Appearing

  1. Check power connection
  2. Verify network connection
  3. Confirm same subnet as Mac
  4. Check firewall settings
  5. Try manual IP entry

No Output

  1. Verify universe configuration
  2. Check Art-Net settings
  3. Confirm fixture addresses
  4. Test with built-in test mode

Intermittent Issues

  1. Check power supply capacity
  2. Verify network cable quality
  3. Check for IP conflicts
  4. Monitor for overheating
